MTMS Student Council Raises Over $500 for Special Olympics Polar Plunge

The Manchester Township Middle School (MTMS) Student Council recently hosted a successful fundraiser, raising more than $500 to support staff members participating in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge.

During cafeteria lunches, students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade had the opportunity to donate money toward the teacher they most wanted to see take on an “ice bucket challenge.” Each donation counted as a vote for the competing teacher, making the fundraiser both exciting and meaningful for the entire school community.

After the votes were counted, Mr. Morris came out on top, winning, or perhaps losing, depending on how you look at it! As the chosen participant, he bravely faced the challenge as Student Council members dumped a bucket of ice water over him, much to the excitement of the crowd.
