The Manchester Township School District (MTSD) is proud to share exciting news from our school community. Aliyah, a fourth-grade student from Manchester Township Elementary School (MTES), has been named a winner of this year’s Above and ‘BEE’yond Teacher Essay Contest, which celebrates educators who make a lasting impact on their students.
Aliyah wrote her essay about her fourth-grade teacher, Melissa Nazario, highlighting the positive influence she has had in the classroom.
This year, eight teachers across New Jersey were selected for their meaningful contributions. As one of the honorees, Ms. Nazario will receive a $500 scholarship to support her classroom for the 2026-27 school year, along with an end-of-year celebration at Applebee’s in Manchester for her students. Aliyah and her classmates will also be recognized with a special class party at Applebee’s!
