TRANSITION PROGRAM GRADUATES

Manchester Township High School's transition students who are graduating this year recently had the opportunity to showcase the incredible skills they’ve developed throughout the program during a special event at C & G Cafe.

Students invited their parents to the café so they could experience firsthand what their sons and daughters have been working so hard to achieve. Throughout the event, students confidently took orders, served food, cleaned tables, and helped bus the dining area, demonstrating the independence, responsibility, and workplace skills they have gained through real-world job training experiences.

What made the day even more meaningful was the opportunity for everyone to sit together, share a meal, and socialize as a community. Watching these students interact so professionally and independently was a proud moment for staff, families, and everyone involved in the transition program. Their progress reflects the heart of what transition education is all about, which is preparing students for success beyond high school by building confidence, communication skills, and meaningful work experience.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to C & G Cafe for being so welcoming and supportive of our students. The staff continually creates an environment where students feel valued and included, truly making them feel like part of the team. Their generosity and partnership play an important role in helping students gain real-life experience and confidence in the workplace.
