Walking past Whiting Elementary School (WES), you might assume that students were playing a game of freeze-tag in front of the building! What you actually see are the many wonderful scarecrows from the Scarecrow Fundraiser.

The fundraiser was sponsored by Ms. Gould’s class, who worked hard to collect donations and organize the event. Wildcat families were given the opportunity to adopt a scarecrow and work together at home to decorate a special family nameplate. The nameplates were then displayed on the scarecrows in front of WES, creating a festive fall display that celebrates Wildcat families and the school community. These nameplates gave students a chance to showcase their creative abilities, all while supporting a good cause. And now, the school’s front lawn has come to life with a row of smiling scarecrows!
A special thank you to everyone who participated in the Scarecrow Fundraiser and to Ms. Gould’s class for all of their hard work!
